Established in 1870, Lewis Solomon Funeral Service is owned and run by Stephen and his sons, David and Dominic, 5th and 6th generation funeral directors respectively. With a strong family background of five generations, we have acquired the knowledge and experience to provide the local community with a 24 hour service, repatriations and memorials. We are members of SAIF, NAMM, and BRAMM accredited for your peace of mind.

SAIF (The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors) is an association for independent, family-run funeral homes. By choosing a SAIF member, you are assured of a trusted and caring professional who is dedicated to serving their local community.

We have experienced staff ready to advise and help arrange a funeral in memory of a loved one, with empathising care, sympathy and a personal service to meet needs in order to provide a dignified occasion.

Lewis Solomon Funeral Service can truly be described as a family-run business. We believe this is the key to providing the friendly atmosphere and support that we give. We have calmly decorated chapels of rest, as well as our own modern fleet of Mercedes, all of our vehicles are equipped with on board video traffic surveillance and recording cameras for your safety and security. We can also provide other vehicles, ranging from motorcycle hearses, white, pink and silver hearses, VWs, Land Rovers or traditional black or white horse-drawn carriages, even Shire horses.
